Megane means glasses, referring to the tan markings of fur around his eyes that makes him look like he's wearing glasses. Despite this, Hannah's crush on Dexter is short-lived when he feels queasy on a ride at the Ham-Ham Fun Park, she deems him a "wimp". However, Hannah was infatuated with him in Hannah is in Love! because he was so "sweet and caring", and she finds it charming how "sophisticated" Dexter is. This looks very much like the animated series, as the styling of the characters and their setting are lifted directly from the show. Ryan Jampole takes penciling duties while Jeremy Colwell handles the colors. Additionally, not much is done to establish, or re-establish, the totality of Dexter’s world, which will probably see a lot of change in the issues to come. On the downside, while this will work perfectly for existing fans, those unfamiliar with the show will probably be left behind. When Dexter invents something, you know that Dee Dee will be around to destroy it, and it’s as funny as it is reassuringly familiar. This issue also follows an episode of Dexter’s Lab exactly as fans of the show might expect. Fridolfs even makes sure to exaggerate the spelling of certain words like “wooooman” to match how you’d expect Dexter to pronounce such words. From the first panel, you’ll hear Dexter’s accented voice and Dee Dee’s high-pitched one in each word balloon.
